What's the role?

The Hilti IT Fellowship program is a combination of practical training at Hilti and academic learning at the University of Liechtenstein, designed to create the cornerstone for a successful future. It was developed jointly by the Hilti Corporation and the University of Liechtenstein.

Who is Hilti?

We provide leading-edge tools, technologies, software, and services for the global construction sector. Hilti is a multicultural workplace with 125 different nationalities committed to global teamwork.

Global IT within Hilti is a truly global team with main hubs in Buchs (Switzerland), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), and Plano/Tulsa (USA). All locations have highly competent teams who work very closely together. Hilti`s Global IT team is known for their focus on sustainable value creation by translating latest IT innovations into value creating solutions & services.

What does the role involve?

As a Hilti fellow, you will contribute to your Master’s degree by attending additional courses at the Institute of Information Systems at the University of Liechtenstein. At the same time, you will be part of an international project team at Hilti for one semester working on innovative topics like cloud computing, business process consulting, and digital workplace technologies. Supported by the Hilti Chair of Business Process Management, you will become familiar with state-of-the-art technology and discuss new ideas for future Hilti projects, such as digital transformation and customer engagement. You will explore all the different aspects of working in Hilti Global IT and drive your own project forward in close collaboration with our IT experts to contribute to Hilti’s business targets.

We have interns exploring all the different aspects of working at Hilti HQ where student talents enjoy the opportunity of a lifetime by working alongside experts in the field and contributing to Hilti’s next innovation.

What you need is:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, business administration or related fields
  • Outstanding academic record and practical experience (grades/records and any letters of recommendation must be submitted)
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Well organized personality with strong analytical and conceptual skills
